Here is another of the paintings that I did this week during the Paint-out. This one was difficult for me, and I think it looks a bit labored as a result of my struggles. I made the mistake of sitting out in the sun in the afternoon light to get this particular angle of the building and the result of having so much light on my canvas and palette was a very high -key painting. I did capture the light quality pretty well, I think, but I wish it was more painterly and expressive.
