It's a funny thing, but often when people move to Florida, they throw away their priceless antiques, home-made quilts and dried flower arrangements and re-create their environments to match the tropical feel of the state. I know I did, anyway.
Here is a "Bird of Paradise" painting that I did after studying the plants in my neighbor's yard and taking some photos. It's amazing how much these plants resemble birds from a distance!
