"The Three Amigos"- 12x12, oil on wrapped canvas- (Note: the sides are painted to match the scene.)I painted a red pepper outdoors yesterday, and it almost drove me crazy trying to get the right color on the shadow side. Instead of posting it, I think I'll wait until I get it right! Here's the set-up that I used for "Three Amigos":

I've painted peppers before, but I'd forgotten how many plane changes a pepper has! It's almost as complicated as painting a portrait! This painting got off to a slow start but in the end I was satisfied with how it came out, since it definitely depicts the personality of each of the three amigos.
This painting is available through Collector's Gallery and Framery . Please call Leah Sherman at (941)488-3029 if you are interested in this painting, and you can have three amigos in your kitchen, too!

I really like these peppers. I particularly like what you have done with the background. I shall be interested to see the one you are holding back, because this red one is fabulous. Thank you for sharing.
What beautiful colors in this painting! I love all the reflected colors in the white cloth. Beautiful work!
